Guys I am starting to think maybe only 5-10 people will join and play the game....I mean think about it, it is a 2-D game, people with want to play 3-D games and not 2-D ones....plus isn't the max character limit for the server like 50? I am also starting to think the same about DB, I think it will suck, especially compared to seraphim's game...I doubt more than 5 people will want to download it, I mean only Jonny has joined the forums....................................

Who cares? It's fun and good experience. How often does an author's first novel become a best seller? Don't give up because someone else can do something better than you. That is not fair to you. I work on DA because I enjoy it and because that is where I have learned ~70% of what I know about VB6 programming. Why do you work on DB? Is it to make an amazing game and get rich/famous, or do you work on it because you want to learn, have fun, and get better? If it is the former, then give up. If it is the latter, as it is with me, never quit working until you have gotten out of it everything you want to. Success should not be measured by how many people play the game. It should be measured by how you feel about your accomplishment.

Yes yes I realize you should have fun making a game, and I am, but if you knew you and TM would be the ONLY people willing to play the game would you put in as much effort on the game?

It's like the assignments given in computer class. They aren't given to actually generate anything useful, they are given so we learn about a given subject. If I was not being marked on them, I would put in exactly the same amount of effort I do now, because what I get out of it is what I out into it, whether or not the only people playing it are me and my teacher.
