Claega: A planet greatly resembling the functionality of Earth. It consists of seven continents: Durklau, Relmar, Almus, Laruthan, Maradi, Urlsus, and Somandeen. The planet's surface is made up of sixty-nine percent water. Being the fourth planet from the sun known as Sembre, the climate is suitable for supporting life.

Durklau: The mainland consists of three countries: Draelma, Rüze, Kaena. It is the largest continent on Claega and arguably
resembles the head of a wolf. A great part of this continent is made up of plains, but it also contains more mountain ranges and rivers then all the other continents combined.

Relmar: A western continent occupied by the nations of Dacia and Syntaria. Existing in the western portion of the northern hemisphere, this continent consists of two larger bodies of land merged at an isthmus.

Almus: A frosty continent to the north of Durklau, this region is the destination for holy pilgrimages in various faiths throughout the world. Regardless, the population is incredibly low here as a result of the harsh environment.

Laruthan: An elongated continent found just north of the equator, this particular continent is inhabited greatly by a single country of the same name, with smaller nations formed along the shore as a result of civil war long past.

Maradi: An arid continent located to the far east of the globe. Gypsies roam the central deserts, while occult tribes reign to the north. This region is widely considered to be the foundation of civilization, similar to real-world views of the African continent. This continent is also home to the holy land, Jerusalem.

Urlsus: A continent actually made up of several large islands, each possessing an individual climate. The thick fog that lurks overhead makes it difficult to navigate and mostly unoccupied. Some scientists do not even consider it to be a continent.

Somandeen: A small continent to the far south, where frequent conflict leaves political boundaries in constant flux, and people in a state of perpetual fear. This continent also houses more countries than any other on Claega.

They're original, mostly, but have roots from lots of religious terms.

Ok. I always seem to tend to make japanese like names and some greek names.

Do the two planet's inhabitants know that the other planet has life?

Huh? You mean Earth and Claega? They're alternate... like a different version of the same place. There's only one planet with life in my game's plot.

If you don't mind me asking, what is your religious background?  I am just curious as to the origins of the religious influences within your work.

My religious background is... different, to say the least.

I'm technically a Christian, but I'm a lot more open minded than more by-the-book believers.

I study all sorts of religions as a hobby, and have a special obsession for angels. I consider myself somewhat informed about Christianity, Buddhism, Zoroastrianism, and Judaism, but tend to throw elements from across the board into my writing.

Ahh, I see.  So the influences come from scholarly interest as opposed to obsessive faith.  I'm glad.

What is Zoroastrianism in a nutshell?

Yah studying religions is fun, one of my favorite parts of social studies in the 6th grade was when we studied the main religions of the world.

Yeah, I remember doing that in 6th grade also.  I am more in to ancient religious beliefs than current ones though.

I must admit, I like the way you add nearly as much detail into your places and secondary characters as you do into the main characters. I doubt I would have the attention span to do what you're doing. Keep up the good work.  Smiley

Yarr!

The problem with being open minded, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and putting things in it.
