Name: "Protocol: ^%&
Sacred Silence Broken"

Theme Song:
Toxicity, by System of a Down.

Concept:
You are in the Distantages Server and it's under attack by a virus. The server hasn't been attacked by a virus in forever because it's owner always catches things. But this all changes when the owner goes on a camping trip...

Style:
Well I've always liked to have a game where you can do whatever you want and choose if you want to do the main quest. An example of this concept would be Oblivion. But in games like this I often get side tracked to much and never get to find out the real story of the game. So I have made two sides to the game. In the beginning you pick which story you want to see the game from. So basically you pick which character you want to play as in the beginning, one character has a general keep going forward with a few sidequests, while another has a do what you want thing. These two characters rarely meet but each have a big impact on the story.

Lol.  Smiley

one character has a general keep going forward with a few sidequests, while another has a do what you want thing.

Interesting concept.  How do you plan to inform the player which character is open-ended and which is more structured?

In the beginning, I will say "Choose your character:"
And it will have the two characters each will have a description like:
"You have a goal and you must follow it, non-follows ill face deletion" or something along those lines. And then in parentheses it will say:
"(Keep Moving Forward)".

I am currently deciding if I will split theme into two different short games, because what I want to do is have two different battle systems for both sides but currently that is not possible.

I am also going to describe the environment of the server (such as what people think alot):
People(also known as programs to humans) on the server think that the Anti Virus program is a mean grueling blood thirsty monster that needs to delete things to live. Well the anti virus programs doesn't agree, but doesn't just have to convince the people that he is not but he also has to convince himself. They also think he is obsolete, seeing as how the owner is being more safe with the computer, so when a virus finally does come he/she goes on a rampage destroying everything even though anti virus programs are supposed to queston virus programs where the source of the virus is, so this makes the people hate him more. That is all for now.

I really like where this is going.  Smiley

Are you going to use the generic RPG Maker tilesets?

I also want it to have a system kind of like the world ends with you (Jonny if you don't have it, get the rom, or better yet buy it to support a TWEWY TWO!). And by the world ends with you system I mean a thing where there is 7 days. Since the owner get's back in seven days then yah you know...anyways it won't be a real clock ticking down, it just afetr every few full missions you will go to sleep and when you wake up it will say stuff like: 6 days left. And each day is like the equivalent to a chapter, each day only has a certain amount of items, quests, and skills you can get that day. And each day the server will be even more corrupt.

Programs need to sleep? Maybe that's why Firefox was being slow, after I changed the "naps" setting to false in about:config it's been running a bit faster...

When you say the system is more corrupt, does that just mean harder missions, or the server itself starts turning against you, a la Agent Smith?

When I say the server gets more corrupt is that I mean the missions get harder, and some new areas are open...and those newly opened areas are of course harder with more enemies.

And programs sleep when they are not being used. So alot of programs like MS Paint and stuff sleep alot while other programs like anti-virus programs rarely get sleep.
