Here you will find an outdated summary of the main plot so far, though much of it has already been changed. Read and enjoy, but be warned that unlike the synopsis thread, this one contains spoilers.

THIS IS YOUR LAST WARNING: DO NOT CONTINUE READING IF YOU WANT TO AVOID SPOILERS ON THIS PROJECT.

Volume One: Involution
In a world consumed by the flames of war and disease, a country known as Draelma has been put into a state of severe poverty by harsh taxation. As a result, revolution now stirs in the shadows of civilization, and a course of action has been set into motion to restore power to the people. Willing to use force if necessary, an ex-military captain named Leonard Barnes has formed one such revolutionary organization, dubbed the “Corps of the Burning Skies.” It is within this group that the two central protagonists, Desten and Auria are introduced. As volunteers in the struggle for power, these two are willing to risk their very lives to bring salvation to the people still living in poverty. When they are arrested on one such mission, however, their lives make another drastic turn, and they are swept up into the true motive behind the war, an occurrence called the White Cadence. It is here that they meet Tenrok, a knight in service to the opposing nation of Dacia, which acts foremost as a religious capital of the catholic
faith. Together with this new ally, they escape the prison, along with a valuable hostage: Princess Raichelle Roslynn, of the throne of Draelma.

Successfully putting some distance between themselves and the royal capital, they make for Jerusalem, the site of the White Cadence. It is here where they meet Blake Ichida, a priest with the inhuman ability to cure the world’s new epidemic using only the power of prayer, as well as an enigmatic figure named only as “Ryuku”. Joining forces with these newfound friends, they return to the heroes’ hometown, Delta Rose, where their headquarters has been discovered by the king’s men. After evacuating the city’s inhabitants, they make to rescue Aiko, an old friend who had been taken prisoner during the conflict. They successfully rescue the girl, and retreat to the Dacian capital to plan their next move. On the way, however, their transport is ambushed by a mysterious man, calling himself by the name of “Seffer Gallizer.” This man awakens memories from deep within Desten’s psyche, and awakens Iynethe, Desten’s mysterious alter ego. Iynethe ultimately agrees to follow the man, and Desten leaves the group. After failing to pursue them, the rest of the group decides to head for Dacia without him.

After meeting with Michrael Nagashima, head of the “Trauma” research team, the group uncovers a possible lead as to Desten’s location, and makes for the ruins on Mt. Ezra. Here, they witness as Desten willingly opens the first of the “Seven Seals” of the apocalypse, and coax him back to sanity. From the shadows, the truth of Desten’s past is told to them, before the mysterious man, along with three new companions, disappears into the sunset. After nurturing Desten back to mental stability, they agree to seek out the remaining six seals, in hopes of acting before their mysterious enemies can do so. This ultimately fails, and one by one, the seals are forced open before their eyes. As the seventh seal is broken, the true nature of the enemy is also revealed to them: they are up against the very angels of god, who are more than intent on bringing this world to an end.
As the final chapter unfolds, the angels prompt them to head for one final destination: the “Reliquary of the True Cross.” The reliquary proves to take form in what seems to be a mysterious, long-inactive spaceship, though the significance of this is unknown.
It is here that the angels, upon making contact with the artifact, begin to “awaken,” taking on their true power. While only four of them appear to the ensemble, it is revealed that seven angels actually compose the group. Before vanishing once more into thin air, the angels slay Aiko as a testament to their newly attained power, and undergo a strange reaction with Blake. In the emotional strain brought on by this tragic event, the ship resonates with Rachel’s will, and somehow manages to regain power. Upon accepting her as its pilot, the ship reveals itself to be the “Magdalene,” a relic of a long forgotten civilization.

Volume Two: Revelation
Six months after the death of Aiko, and the awakening of the angels, little has transpired in regards to the war for the fate of the world. Blake, having recovered from a long period of hospitalization, has developed stigmata-like injuries throughout his body, and become severely weakened. That aside, however, all seems well with the world. This period ceases to last, however, as Rachel is labeled a traitor by her own father, and is forced into a political marriage to avoid the harsh death penalty that would act as her sentence for such a crime. She complies, but quickly reconsiders when introduced to her would-be husband, who threatens her safety.

Returning to the group, however, the truth behind the façade of peace soon makes itself apparent. Shortly after, the angels make their reappearance, this time setting into effect the first of seven great plagues that will wipe the world from existence. Another organization also makes itself apparent to them, in the form of “Zoroaster Inc.” After protecting an orphan named Draick, as well as his companions from capture, three new members join the Magdalene’s crew. Draick, believed to be the first to bear the sign of the beast, denies the possibility, but is nonetheless unable to relinquish the demon which has possessed him since birth. The other two, claiming to be his friends, stay onboard in hopes of supporting his cause, and repaying the favor granted by the original crew. When three more seals are broken, however, Draick is killed suddenly by the demon within him, and his friends are moved from acts of support to those of revenge. With Ryuku’s cooperation, the team manages to destroy Zoroaster, along with the machine that has been used to recycle their very lives. As the final battle comes into view, however, Blake’s identity as the angel of humanity is revealed, and he is killed by Seraphiel, another newly introduced member of angelic host.

Yarr!

The problem with being open minded, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and putting things in it.
