I wanted to get some opinions on what the opening theme should be like. Do we want a majestic fanfare, or a quite piano melody? Just think how you would want to feel when you get to the login screen. Gimme some feedback.  |

Hmm, difficult question. I guess it would depend on the feel of the log-in menu. Come to think of it, we need a log-in menu. Well, we can always make the log-in menu fit the music.  What kind of music do most games use for an opening theme? |

I think we need something at a medium pace but it feels adventuress, because this games seems to be going in a direction for adventuring(most MMORPGs do anyways). Something fanfare probably wouldn't fit and would just plainly suck to my opinion.

Well, I've played too many games too remember, and they all have different themes. Some have a quiet peaceful starting, and some have a big majestic startup...
I guess I'll try to write two or 3 pieces and we'll have a poll or something on which one is the best. Now the music will take a while to be written. It usually takes me a couple of weeks to write a good one.

lol. All I'm using is Finale Notepad. It is a download from http://www.finalemusic.com. To make a masterpiece, I would need more that 4 years of band lol. Also, you guys will probably hear a French Horn theme. That is the instrument I play and write best with. |
